This Isn’t Just Cannabis—This Is How We Build It Right

By Maurice Marshall – Uknowmoe2 Education & Cannabis Services
Knowledge is the key to breaking the cannabis stigma.

I’ve spent a lot of time thinking about where cannabis is headed—especially here in Kentucky and right across the river in Ohio.

And if I’m being real with you, the biggest issue I see isn’t legalization…
It’s lack of direction.

Everybody’s moving fast—cities, businesses, entrepreneurs—but not everybody is moving informed.

That’s where things can go wrong.

What I Keep Seeing (And Why It Matters)

I’ve seen municipalities unsure how to approach cannabis policy.
I’ve seen business owners excited about opening dispensaries but overwhelmed by compliance.
And I’ve seen communities stuck in the middle—curious, but still carrying stigma.

That gap right there?
That’s where Uknowmoe2 lives.

Because this isn’t just about cannabis.
This is about how you introduce something new into a community the right way.

For Municipalities: You Don’t Have to Guess

If you’re part of a city council, planning board, or local leadership team, I want to say this clearly:

You don’t need to figure this out alone.

Cannabis policy isn’t just about saying yes or no. It’s about structure, education, and long-term impact.

• How will this affect your community image?
• How do you regulate without overcomplicating?
• How do you balance revenue with responsibility?

These are real questions—and they deserve real answers, not assumptions.

What I do is help municipalities slow things down just enough to get them right—so when you move forward, you move forward confidently.

For Dispensary Owners: Getting Licensed Is Just the Beginning

A lot of people think the goal is to win a license.

It’s not.

The real goal is to build something that lasts.

Because once those doors open, now you’re dealing with:
• Compliance
• Staff training
• Customer education
• Community perception

And if you’re not prepared, it shows—fast.

What I bring through Uknowmoe2 is structure. Not just information, but real-world understanding of how to run operations, train teams, and build trust from day one.

For the Community: You Deserve Clear, Honest Information

One thing I take seriously is this:

People deserve to understand cannabis without feeling judged or confused.

Especially:
• Seniors
• Caregivers
• First-time users

These groups aren’t looking for hype. They’re looking for clarity.

That’s why everything I teach is built around being:
✔ Straightforward
✔ Respectful
✔ Fact-based

Because education is what removes fear—and replaces it with confidence.

Why I Do This

This isn’t just business for me.

I’ve seen what happens when people don’t have the right information—whether that’s in operations, policy, or personal use.

Mistakes happen. Opportunities get missed. Trust gets lost.

And I don’t want to see that happen in this space.

Not when we have the chance to do it right from the beginning.

Where We Go From Here

If you’re reading this, you’re probably in one of three positions:

• You’re a decision-maker trying to figure out cannabis policy
• You’re building or planning a cannabis business
• Or you’re someone who just wants real, reliable information

Wherever you fall, here’s what I’ll say:

Don’t rush the process. Understand it.

Because the people who take the time to learn this industry—
are the ones who end up leading it.

Let’s Have a Real Conversation

If you’re serious about doing this the right way—whether that’s policy, business, or education—I’m here for that.

Final Thought

Cannabis is growing fast.

But the smartest thing you can do right now…
is slow down long enough to understand it.
